Hostels at IISER Thiruvananthapuram:

IISER TVM is a fully residential institute. Separate hostel accommodation is provided for boys and girls. Institute has hostel buildings (double bedded) in each block in the permanent campus:

• Ponmudi Hall of Residence
• Pushpagiri Hall of Residence
• Mukurthy Hall of Residence
• Aanamudi Hall of Residence (A & B Blocks)
• Eravimala Hall of Residence
• Sispara Hall of Residence

Rooms in hostels are furnished with two single beds, common study table, Chairs. Common TV room in each Hall of residence and provides ample scope for recreations in the first floor of CDH.

Services available:

• Security staff: Available round the clock.
• ATMs of State Bank of Travancore (SBT) & Canara Bank are available in the Campus. 
• House keeping staff to clean the common areas.
• Maintenance staff are available round the clock.
• Complaint/Suggestion book: Students complaints are rectified immediately/ as soon as possible.
• Transport: Outsourced Ambulance, Vehicle services to local bus stand, Railway station are available.
• Co-operative store (Shop): For purchase of stationary & other general items.
• Automated washing machines on payment basis

Central Dining Hall:

A fully furnished central Dining hall to cater the dinning needs of the students. It is supervised by student body called as students Mess Committee. Mess Committee has student representatives from all the batches & a Faculty coordinator. IISER TVM has students from all the regions of India. So Mess Committee focuses on fixing a menu which is best for people from all regions of India.

Library

IISER TVM Library possesses books, monographs, conference proceedings etc. in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, Computer Science and other interdisciplinary areas. Reference books such as encyclopaedia, dictionaries, laboratory manuals and general reading books are available in the library.

Medical Centre:

Medical center of Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Thiruvananthapuram provides round the clock medical facility & fully equipped ambulance (Round the clock) to handle emergency cases. Medical facilities are given vital importance and each student is given complete care on admission itself medical insurance is given to each student so as to exclude financial problems and can get prime medical support. Referrals for specialty care are arranged with tie-up hospitals.
