A walk in Interview for the post of "Consultant Veterinarian on short term contract basis" will be conducted on 30.05.2017. at 10.00 AM Venue : Pratheeksha Building, IISER TVM, Near Engineering College, CET Campus, Thiruvananthapuram

Essential Qualifications:

B.V.Sc with 10 years of experience or M.V.Sc (Veterinary Pathology / Microbiology / Virology / Medicine or equivalent qualifications) with 7 years’ experience in handling experimental animals including breeding and maintenance of transgenic animals. The candidate should have publications reflecting the expertise.

Job Responsibilities:

• The selected candidate will work as Animal House In-charge.
• Establishment of infrastructural setup, procuring equipment and getting approvals for the facility and experimental protocols and training of the personnels.
• Making specifications in sufficient detail to procure the right kind of latest equipment for the animal facility and assist in evaluating tenders on technical aspects.
• Work with several mandatory committees constituted to carry out animal work in accordance with the Institutional and CPCSEA guidelines.

In addition to the above, maintenance and breeding of the animals (stock as well as experiments) for all investigations as required by CPCSEA guidelines of Govt. of India.

The Consultant Veterinarian has to provide services at the permanent campus in Vithura three days in a week as per the schedule decided by the competent authority.

Pay Rs 2000/- per day

Age: Not more than 50 Years
