The Institute invites applications for the following positions on contract basis

Name of Post	Senior Research Fellow
Title of Project	Development of haploid inducer stocks in indica rice through genetic manipulation of CENH3 and MTL genes using genome editing approach"
Funding agency	DBT
Minimum Educational qualification (as prescribed by the funding agency)	Master’s degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences/ MVsC or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognized University or Equivalent; and 2 Years’ experience in Research and Development in Industrial and Academic institutions or Science and Technology organizations and scientific activities and services
Desirable qualifications	Candidate should be highly motivated to do basic research in biology. Academically excellent candidate with technical proficiency in recombinant DNA(rDNA) technology especially in cloning, designing and making gene constructs, growing and managing plants. Prior research experience in the above skill areas are preferable but not mandatory. This may be considered as a criteria for shortlisting if many applications are received.

Tenure of the post	1 year, extendable extendable based on performance upto 2 years or till completion of the project whichever is earlier
Age	35 years with applicable relaxation as per government of India norms
