Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Thiruvananthapuram is a premier autonomous Institution established by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, for promotion of high quality science education and research in the country.

The Institute invites applications for the following positions on contract basis:

Name of Post	Research Associate (RA)
Name of Project	Growth of Nuclear Radiation Sensitive Single Crystals through Bridgman Technique
Funding agency	DRDO
Minimum Educational qualification (as prescribed by the funding agency)	PhD (experimental condensed matter physics) with first class or equivalent at the preceding degree in physics with a very good academic record throughout. Candidates who have submitted the PhD thesis are also encouraged to apply.
Preference	PhD in experimental condensed matter physics, having expertise in material synthesis, crystal growth, and physical property measurements.
Number of posts	1
Fellowship amount	Rs. 47000/- per month (consolidated)
Tenure of the post	Initial appointment is for 6 months which can be extended depending on the availability of fund and performance of the candidate.
Age	Below 35
