Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Thiruvananthapuram is a premier autonomous Institution established by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, for promotion of high quality science education and research in the country.
The Institute invites applications for the following positions on contract basis:

Name of Post	Project Associate I
Name of Project	Deciphering the molecular pathways underlying chromatinopathies in neurological disorders
Funding agency	SRG, SERB, Department of Science and Technology
Minimum Educational qualification ( as prescribed by the funding agency)	Master’s Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences/ MVSc or bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent
Preference	Research experience in molecular biology experiments or bioinformatics (NGS, big data handling) and/or cell culture will be preferred. Clearing any of the national level exams (GATE/CSIR/UGC JRF/NET) will be an added advantage.

Fellowship amount	Rs. 31,000/- + HRA (for those selected through (a) National Eligibility Tests (CSIR-UGC: NET) or GATE (b) National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their agencies and Institutions 25,000/- + HRA for others who do not fall under
Tenure of the post	1 year (with possible extension for another year)
Age	The upper age limit is 35 years on last date of application with age relaxation as per Govt. Rules.
