The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Thiruvananthapuram is one of the premier science education and research institutes established by the Government of India in 2008 to impart high-quality education integrated with outstanding research in modern science. The Institute invites applications for the following positions on contract basis:

Name of Post	Junior Research Fellow
Title of the project	Delving into metamagnetic quantum criticality in magnetic insulators: Thermal expansion and Magnetocaloric effect studies
Funding agency	IGSTC Women Involvement in Science and Engineering Research (WISER)
Minimum Educational qualification ( as prescribed by the funding agency)	MSc or equivalent in Physics/Material Science, M.Tech with experience in low temperature physics, CSIR-UGC NET JRF/ GATE / JEST/ 8 or more CGPA from one of the IIT’s/IISc/IISER’s/NISER/NIT’s
Desirable qualifications	Experience in low temperature physics and magnetism
Number of posts	1
Fellowship amount	37,000/- + HRA (as per institute’s policy)
Tenure of the post	3 years. Can be converted into a Ph.D.
Age	Age limit as per the DST guidelines. Age limit for exceptional candidates may be relaxed.
