The Institute invites applications for the following project positions on contract basis

Name of the Post	JRF/Project Assistant
Name of the Project	Study of driven systems & Biological Processes
Funding agency	DST-INSPIRE
Minimum Educational qualification (as prescribed by the funding agency)	MSc in Physics with a minimum of 60% marks (or equivalent grade). Additional qualifications for JRF: NET/GATE qualification. In case a suitable candidate with the above qualifications is not found, candidates with MSc in Physics may be appointed as project assistant if found suitable.
Preference	Preference will be given to the academically excellent candidates with experience in computer programming. The canidates should be highly motivated to do theoretical research in Physics.
Number of Posts	JRF/Project Assistant 1 Position
Fellowship amount	JRF: Rs 25,000 +HRA Project assistant: Rs 16,000 +HRA
Tenure of the post	1 year, extendable based on performance and availability of grant.
Age	JRF/Project assistant: 32 years with 3-5 years relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/Women and Physically disabled as per government norms

The application should attach a detail resume and a one page statement of research interest in theoretical Physics. Research experience (if any) should be supported by a certificate from the previous employer/s. Candidates should bring originals of all applicable certificates (qualifying degrees, national examinations, category certificate, etc) and a copy of the application signed by the applicant during the interview for the purpose of verification.
