Applications are invited from Indian nationals for the position of Research Associate (RA) in a DST sponsored project entitled “Synthesis and physical properties of frustrated S=1/2 square lattice compounds”
Duration: The initial appointment will be for a year but extendable based on the performance.
Eligibility: PhD in Condensed Matter Physics or Material Science with proven research excellence in terms of publications and with at least 55% marks at the MSc/MTech level. Candidates having good knowledge in condensed matter physics and experience in material synthesis, crystal growth and material characterization (x-ray diffraction, magnetic measurements, transport measurements etc) will be given preference but not a necessary criterion for application. Candidate should have qualified one of the national level tests such as CSIR-UGC/GATE/JEST. Those who have submitted their PhD thesis can also apply.

Age: The upper age limit is 35 years on the day of application. A relaxation of 5 years is applicable to candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC and women candidates.
Salary: Rs. 22,000/- plus HRA per month
