Advertisement for the post of Junior Research Fellow in Indo-German (DST-DFG) International Research Training Groups (IRTG)

Applications are invited from highly motivated students in the project entitled “Photoluminescence in Supramolecular Matrices” in Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Thiruvananthapuram (IISER TVM) via Indo-German (DST-DFG) International Research Training Groups (IRTG) starting from January 2025. Candidates are required to apply through the online portal only. The students working in this fully funded program will have international exposure with the faculty members of University of Wuerzburg through exchange visits and conferences. This project is a consortium of 20 faculty members from University of Wuerzburg and IISER Thiruvananthapuram who are international experts in the area of photochemistry and will enable selected students to immerse in collaborative international research.

Highlights of the program

  1. The students selected in this project satisfying the eligibility criteria for the PhD admission of IISER Thiruvananthapuram can enrol for doctoral degree of the institute. Students who enrol in this program for PhD are eligible to secure dual degree of IISER Thiruvananthapuram and University of Wuerzburg.
  2. The duration of the above project is 5 years and the selected students will spend 1 year at the University of Wuerzburg, Germany (https://www.iisertvm.ac.in/files/read/irtg-project-brochure). The student will also have an international exposure through the participation in international symposia in Germany.
