Advertisement For The Post of High Resolution Transmission Electron Microscope (Hr Tem) Operator (On Contract Basis)

Applications are invited from interested candidates for the post of HRTEM operator on contract basis at IISER Thiruvananthapuram.

Essential Qualification

• M. Sc. in Physics with a minimum of 60 % or CGPA of 6.5
• Age limit: preferably below 35 years

Technical Requirements

• Operation and maintenance of HR-TEM with accessories including EDS, STEM-HAADF and EELS
• Operation and maintenance of Bio-TEM with Cryo holder
• Knowledge in preparation of routine TEM samples
• Preparation of samples using Ultra-microtome
• Routine calibration of the instrument

Essential Experience

• Minimum 4 years of experiences in operating HR-TEM

Terms of employment

• The position is purely on contract basis
• Remuneration: Rs. 40,000/- (consolidated) per month
