Dr. Sunish Radhakrishnan, Assistant Professor, School of Biology, IISER Thiruvananthapuram has been awarded the prestigious Wellcome Trust-DBT Intermediate Fellowship. This five-year fellowship has been awarded to him for studying the basic principles of asymmetric cell division in an unusual, and asymmetrically dividing bacterial model organism, Caulobacter crescentus. The intermediate fellowship will help in strengthening the collaborative network between the laboratories of Sunish Radhakrishnan, other labs at IISER Thiruvananthapuram, and Prof. Patrick Viollier at the University of Geneva, Switzerland.
