IISER TVM signed MoU with National University of Singapore

Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Thiruvananthapuram (IISER TVM) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with National University of Singapore (NUS) on 16-04-2015 for joint research and development activities. The MoU primarily address the collaboration in the area of biological sciences between the respective institutes. Both parties agree to collaborate in the following relevant areas:

1. The exchange of scientific, academic, and technical information and appropriate academic materials and other information of mutual interest for which each Party holds intellectual property rights;
2. the identification of opportunities for exchanges and cooperation and joint research and development in disciplines of mutual interest;
3. the exchange of undergraduate and graduate students to undertake joint project study and exchange of faculty and/or staff for the delivery of course lectures in selected areas including biophysical sciences, cell and molecular biology, environmental Sciences and others;
4. the joint supervision of graduate students;
5. the organization and participation in joint academic and scientific activities such as seminars, workshops and international conferences;
6. exchange of faculty through sabbatical visits;
7. exchange of undergraduate students through internships;
8. joint application and operation of research funding / grants, subject to the terms and conditions of the funding agency;
9. any other such activities as the parties may mutually agree.
