Gold Medal from IGEM Foundation, Paris

Proud to announce that our IISER_TVM team has won a gold medal at the iGEM competition 2022 jamboree held in Paris! This year, our project “Duonco” focused on developing a dual nanovesicle-based drug delivery system to tackle breast cancer. This was the first time IISER_TVM and an institute from Kerala had won a gold medal at the competition. In a series of firsts, we were also one of the top few teams nominated for the track award for the best therapeutics project and three special awards - best education, inclusivity, and safety and security. We are deeply grateful to our advisors, IISER TVM community, collaborators, partners, sponsors, and importantly, iGEM 2021 team for guiding us.
