Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav 2021- Fit India Freedom Run 2.0 IISERTVM

On 13th August 2021, IISER Thiruvananthapuram celebrated the ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav 2021’ through organising the Freedom run race in the campus. Honourable director of the institute, Prof. J. N. Moorthy flagged off the race. A good number of Students, Faculties and Staff took part in the event with the spirit of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. Prof. J. N. Moorthy awarded the prizes and certificates for the winners during the 75th Independence day celebrations, 15th August 2021.

Following are the winners in the competition:

• In Boy's category,
  • The first place was bagged by Akshay Raj (Batch 17)- BSMS
  • The second place was bagged by Karan Singh (Batch 20)- IPhD
  • The third place was bagged by Gokula Karthik (Batch 17)- BSMS
• In Girls's category,
  • The first place was bagged by Soundarya Sarathi (Batch 20)- IPhd
  • The second place was bagged by Harshini (Batch 20)- BSMS
  • The third place was bagged by Parul Jain (Batch 20)-IPhd
• In the Faculty & staff category,
  • The first place was bagged by Dr. Bindusar Sahoo (School of Physics)
  • The second place was bagged by Dr. Sudarshan Kumar K. (School of Mathematics)
  • The third place was bagged by Mr. Akhil Philip (Gym Trainer)
