150^th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi

A week-long Film Festival focusing on Gandhiji was held at IISER Thiruvananthapuram in connection with the concluding session of the 150^th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. The Festival was inaugurated on 28th September 2020 by Prof. JN Moorthy Director, IISER Thiruvananthapuram.

To celebrate the occasion, IISER Thiruvananthapuram organized the following online events.

• Monday, 28th September: Movie screening: Gandhi
• Tuesday, 29th September: Movie review session: Gandhi
• Wednesday, 30th September: Movie screening: The Making of The Mahatma
• Thursday, 1st October: Movie review session: The Making of The Mahatma

On Friday, 2nd October, an online discussion on ‘How the movies portrayed Gandhi's ideologies’ is also arranged. IISER Thiruvananthapuram also organises a movie review competition about the movie Gandhi (1982) on this occasion.
