We explore the three components of materials chemistry 1) synthesis, 2) structure and 3) properties of new and novel materials. Through a greater understanding of materials chemistry, we aim to contribute to the global quest to find new and novel materials for energy and sustainable development. In particular, we investigate metal organic frameworks, hierarchical zeolitic frameworks, metal oxide clusters and carbon based (graphene & polymers) nano composites for molecular (gas) storage - separation, optical and conducting properties.
