International Mother Languages Day established by the UNESCO, will be celebrated this year on 3rd March 2016, as Mathribhasha Diwas (Mother Tongue Day) to promote the use of mother tongue.
The following programmes are arranged as part of the celebrations at IISER Thiruvananthapuram.
Handwritten short essay in Malayalam on the above topic to be dropped in the box kept in the Library. Faculty, Staff, and Students of IISER Thiruvananthapuram can participate in this competition.
Essays can be submitted till 2 PM on 2nd March 2016.
Essay should not exceed 1 A4 page paper (both side).
First Prize: Rs. 1000.00
Second Prize: Rs. 750.00
Prizes will be distributed during the concluding session on 3rd March 2016.

Various cultural performance are arranged.
